Miles Thorogood is a digital media artist and educator who explores concepts of the environment and human creative process with computer code and electronic systems. His site-specific audio installations draw upon the underlying contexts of a place and augmenting the soundscapes with narratives from archives. His performance works question the role of capable machines in appreciation of art, and how these machines inform us of the creative process. In addition to his teaching role, Miles has held workshops in sound art and electronics; that has encouraged participants to explore the juxtaposition of technology and the environment.
